Learn how to shape a beard naturally with oil, balm, a brush and simple grooming techniques without creating a stiff or overstyled finish.
A well-shaped beard does not need to look stiff. For most everyday styles, the goal is to reduce flyaways, guide the hair in one direction and keep the natural texture visible.
After washing or rinsing, towel-dry the beard. If it is dripping wet, styling products are harder to control.
A small amount of oil helps soften the hair before you shape it. Choose Big Sur, Arctic, Surtic or fragrance-free HYGGE.
Warm a little balm between your palms and apply it evenly. Beard Balm Organic Big Sur, Organic Beard Balm Surtic, Beard Balm Organic Toscana and Organic Balm Hygge give you different scent options.
Use the Beard Brush, Vegan Beard Brush or the GB 77T Folding Beard & Mustache Comb. Brush the beard outward first to distribute product, then finish in the direction you want it to sit.
If your beard looks flat, shiny or stiff, reduce the amount of balm. Natural-looking shape comes from light control rather than heavy hold.
For extra moustache control, use Moustache Wax - Medium Hold. Apply a very small amount and shape with your fingers or comb.
Oil softens and improves manageability, but balm gives more control when you need to hold the beard in place.
Use small amounts of product, avoid heavy buildup and brush the hair into its natural direction instead of forcing a rigid shape.
